Simeon Agu, Chairman of the Board

Simeon Agu has devoted the past 38 years to working in the IT Industry. He started his career with Shell in Nigeria and later moved to the National Electric Power Authority in 1977 as Director of Computer Services. Mr. Agu set up Nigeria's first and largest software company in 1984 and shortly after concentrated the company's activities in the banking sector first as the distributor of Kapiti Ltd., in which 7 banks were implemented in 2 years. After partnering with Phoenix International(USA), Computer Systems Associates built Smartbank, a Cobol based solution that sold to 10 banks, all in Nigeria. The Phoenix partnership eventually led to the Equinox Banking System and establishment of Neptune Software Group. Mr. Agu is a 1970 graduate in Electrical Engineering and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance and the Fellowship of the Nigeria Computer Society.

Patrick Hayward, Managing Director

Patrick Hayward brings to Neptune 25 years leadership experience in the Financial Services software business, having been a co-founder of Internet Systems (mpct Solutions) the Chicago based ATLAS system provider, the EMEA MD of London Bridge Software and most recently with GoldenSource, the Enterprise Data Management leaders. Prior to entering the software solutions industry he spent 16 years in international banking operations and led the Banking Consultancy business of Arthur Young (Ernst & Young) across Europe. He has a wealth of experience in understanding the needs of bankers in all sectors and in all territories.

Chibuzo Ene, Regional Director for Eastern Africa

Chibuzo Ene is a highly experienced IT professional with hands-on experience in several areas of IT including software development, implementation and support in his 15-year career, with a focus on financial software solutions. He has worked with a number of software providers and was Africa Product Manager for the Novaswift SWIFT Interface software from Cerberus Software, Southampton UK. He holds a BSc in Computer Science and has attended several courses on banking and Information Technology. Chibuzo is currently Neptune’s Regional Director for Eastern Africa, with overall responsibility for Neptune's 30-strong operations in the region's 9 countries.

Jessica Petersson, Company Secretary

Jessica Petersson holds a postgraduate international legal degree, New Zealand, Masters in International Law and Politics, USA and a LLB Law degree in English and German Law, UK. She gained her HR experience working for law departments and university directorships, law firms and litigation support firms internationally. Jessica was also a world class international endurance athlete selected to represent her country in the Marathon, duathlon and triathlon.
